I’m a photographer in Riverside California. A larger portfolio and more information can be found at my web site – photoworks.ws. Much of my work is at the intersection of glamour, tease and fetish and often inspired by 1940’s and 1950’s pin-up (especially Gil Elvgren). In addition, I’m working on several special projects: erotic bridal portraits and The Girl Scout project. I can also shoot for zivity.com. My Artist’s Statement has more detail on my approach to making images.

This blog is at an early point in its evolution. I’m working on moving my information here going back to 2004 which is when I began this genre of photography. However, my interest in photography began when my father gave me a 35mm camera when I was 11 years old. I was fascinated by the amount of creative control you had with a camera when you could adjust the light in so many ways. I used this camera through high school (where, of course, I was the yearbook photographer) and I shot my first wedding with it. I got hooked on weddings. They are such a joyous occasion (usually) and everybody is looking their best. In the early 1980s, I spent a summer interning with Steve Cathcart, an accomplished, up and coming photographer in Nebraska, and learned a great deal.
In the 1970s and early 1980s, I shot ~ 200 weddings. and still have a soft spot for the event. Although I no longer shoot weddings, I have a specialty in erotic bridal portraiture and that work can be seen at eroticbridalimages.com.
I was a yearbook and campus newspaper photographer at Nebraska Wesleyan University. It was in this role that I snagged a photo of two girls streaking. This was new in the Midwest and I sold it to the Associated Press the next morning. As a college student, I worked in a camera store, worked in a studio in Omaha (until I was fired for making suggestions). I’ve taken photography courses at Nebraska Wesleyan (where I was introduced to the nude), University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of California, Riverside and Chaffey Community College. Over the years I have earned four college degrees (three of them graduate degrees).
My primary interests are in creating work suitable for exhibition at erotic arts shows and competitions or for my special projects.
