The series, Stained Authority, explores the collision between institutional power and the sexualized body in a media-saturated society. By juxtaposing markers of professional status (e.g., suits, credentials, composure) with symbols of objectification (e.g., ejaculate), the work challenges the viewer to confront how women’s authority and sexuality are perceived, exploited, or dismissed in patriarchal cultures.
Rather than titillation, the intent is confrontation: to provoke discomfort and critical reflection on themes such as:
Power dynamics: Who controls the gaze, the narrative, and the framing of sexuality?
Objectification vs. empowerment: Can a professional woman reclaim agency in scenes traditionally coded as degrading?
Pornographic saturation: What happens when pornographic codes bleed into everyday portrayals of identity, ambition, and femininity?
Taboo as critique: Can extreme visual language act as a rupture in sanitized discourse, forcing raw engagement with suppressed cultural truths?
These issues and more are discussed in the Deep Dive podcast.
